UNDP in Guyana

UNDP is the UN's global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life.

We are on the ground in more than 166 countries, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. As they develop local capacity, they draw on the people of UNDP and our wide range of partners.
In Guyana, UNDP has been providing technical assistance since 1952 and continues to collaborate with the Government in pursuit of UNDP's corporate practice areas.
For 2006 the main focus is on the following:

The current programmatic basis for our co-operation with Guyana is our United Nations Development Programme (UNDAF) and our Country Programme Document for 2006-2010 (CPD).
